Country Sunshine Children's Center

Our Facility

Country Sunshine Children’s Center was founded in 1986 and was originally housed in the Macedonia Church building on Tryon Road.  In 2000, the Center was moved to the newly built facility on Avent Ferry Road.  The building has 8,500 square feet of finished interior space, 17,000 square feet of playground as well as plenty of parking.  All of our playground equipment is new, has been certified for safety and is (based on reports from the children) very much fun to play on.

The Center is licensed for a maximum student population of 161 children.  The State of N.C. Division of Child Development has awarded the Center a certification level of Four Stars

The Playground

The playground was designed to promote strong bodies, develop coordination, build fine and gross motor skills and helps children develop feelings of success as they improve and master skills.  The playground has been carefully designed to have a balance of sunny and shady areas.
